Behind Roulund Design is the married couple, Susan and Claus Roulund. 

The family business was established in 1988.

The beginning

The interest for glass art started with the development of new products and methods for the glass industry. These assignments was financially supported by SDS Inventor Fund and Danish Technological Institute.

In 1994 started the interest for working with glass fusing and slumping. In 1998 we established our own glassworks in the middle of the hilly nature of Himmerland, where we still from this day on develop ideas, shape and produce our glasswork. 

The whole world as inspiration 

To perfect our skills we have been on study trips to Cincinnati and Portland in the United States.

In Europe we have achieved new knowledge and inspiration through study trips to Italy, Germany, Holland and Sweden. Susan has also been on a longer internship at one of Denmark’s leading glass artist within fusing and slumping techniques.
